Scalable solution to accelerate your AFP workflow

InfoPrint® Transform Manager for Linux® is a cost-effective, Linux-based (PDF, PS, PCL, GIF, TIFF and JPEG to AFP™) transform offering. It can help speed transform processing of large, complex PDF/PostScript®/PCL files into Advanced Function Presentation™ (AFP) print datastreams. InfoPrint Transform Manager for Linux expands flexibility and utilization, to help simplify your operation. Being Linux-based, it also provides a strategic, cost effective platform approach that supports open standards and low total cost of ownership.

With recent enhancements, you can increase operating flexibility and improve transform consistency across multiple platforms. InfoPrint Transform Manager now works with InfoPrint Print Server for z/OS, in addition to InfoPrint Manager for AIX 5L™ and Windows®, so you can offload compute intensive transforms from your print server to an less expensive, dedicated server to help lower cost, and increase utilization of your AFP printers.

Evolving business communications call for a strategic transform solution:

  • Complex print jobs are loaded with variable data and images. Most document composition tools create PostScript/PDF files as the de facto standard for electronic document exchange and presentation.
  • Many business communications are mission-critical and require printing in a managed and secure environment. Advanced Function Presentation (AFP) is an industry-standard print architecture for printing and managing high volume, personal documents.
  • The challenge is transforming increasingly complex PostScript/PDF and PCL files into AFP print datastreams. This demanding and compute-intensive processing often causes bottlenecks in mission-critical workflow.
  • InfoPrint Transform Manager for Linux enables the offloading of PDF, PostScript, and PCL transformation workloads onto high speed, dedicated, reliable InfoPrint Solutions Company blade servers.

You can continue to design using existing PostScript/PDF document composition tools and leverage the reliable, secure print environment of the AFP architecture.
