Base module functionality

MAPPING Production and MAPDRAW are the foundation of the MAPPING Suite software. Base module functionality includes:

• Print support for AFP, PCL, PDF and thermal printers, along with management of printer bins and multiple copies
• Ability to drag and drop variable data from spooled files to a design document
• High-speed print file production
• Use of any Windows fonts
• Support for color and graphics
• Comprehensive bar code support
• Dynamic management of images
• Automatic table generation
• Conditional logic on all document objects

Selectable base module

Selectable base module features include:

• Sorting/splitting/joining of input print files using data in the page as criteria
• Barcodes – most standard 1D and 2D symbologies
• AFPDS – Advanced Function Printer Data Stream for printing on Intelligent Printer Data Stream (IPDS) printers
• Thermal printer native support – InfoPrint, Zebra, Datamax, Intermec, TEC, Printronix and other printers
• PDF – automatically produce Adobe PDF output directly from the production server
• SAPGOF – can enable SAP output to flow into the MAPPING component
• Unicode – support for Unicode that enables language support for DBCS languages.
• Indexing – enables to index documents created with MAPPING in a third party archiving tool (IBM CMOD and others), to dynamically name PDF files and to create an index file.
